As a B2C business their direct consumer channel is integral to their future growth and a large e-commerce division is in place which supports its ongoing growth and development.
This newly created position of Senior Digital Analytics Executive is the latest addition to the team. With an analytics agency previously running the show the basics are all in place- reporting structures and dashboard are set up, so your remit would more around how the data is utilised and what insights you can get out of the data to identify onsite developments and maximise campaigns.
The focus is primarily web analytics but marketing analytics will also play a key part in your day to day. You’ll working on projects which identify development s around improving the customer journey and user experience working in conjunction with an agency to develop test hypothesis to ensure journeys are optimised and the end to end journey is constantly at forefront of best practice.
You’ll also be working on technical implementations, google tag manager is implemented but you will have autonomy on the tweaks and changes that improve the quality of data, so it’s likely that you will have familiarity within configuration in terms of GTM.
This role will appeal to you if you are attracted by the idea of taking an established analytics platform and having the autonomy to turn it into something truly meaningful for the business in respect of the insights you derive and developments and changes that are implemented as a result.
It’s pretty much certain you’ll be in a analytics role already, probably with experience of Adobe Marketing Suite(ie SiteCatalyst, Ad-Hoc Analysis, Data Wahehouse, Report Builder) . The plan is to introduce either Adobe Target or Optimizely so experience in these packages would be great too.
You’ll be inspired and ready to take ownership of a web analytics platform and its processes including insight delivery, driving bets practice, insights(quantitative and qualitative ) and site performance reviews feeding into an on-going planning process of test and learn approaches to optimise user journeys and experience.
